As this is not a bulk billing practice, please be advised that there will be an out-of-pocket cost for all appointments. Our reception staff can advise you of fees and the ‘gap payment’ for sessions.

  • Payment is to be made at the time of each appointment by cash, debit or credit card, or direct deposit.
  • Our fees are below the Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended fees for consultations, and follows these guidelines for report writing and case-conferencing depending on time required.
  • Reduced fees are available for Health Care Card holders and Pensioners. Please advise our reception team is this applies to you.

Medicare & Health Fund Rebates

Medicare rebates are available for psychological treatment for eligible mental health conditions. You will be able to claim a proportion of your fees from Medicare if your General Practitioner assesses your eligibility and completes a “Mental Health Treatment Plan” (MHTP).

In order to claim a rebate, please provide a referral letter and a copy of your MHTP from your doctor. Medicare will reimburse up to $129.55 per session for up to 20 sessions with a clinical psychologist per calendar year. This rebate is higher than the standard rebate for a general psychologist ($87.45).

Alternatively, a portion of your fees may be redeemable from your private health fund. Rebate entitlements will vary according to specific policies and can be clarified directly with your fund.

Once fees are paid in full, we will submit your claim to Medicare who will deposit the rebate into your nominated bank account (please ensure your details are correctly registered with Medicare).

Cancellations

To ensure equitable access to care, we require a minimum of 48-hours notice to change or cancel appointments for any reason. For less than 24-hours notice, the cancellation fee is 100% of the full appointment fee, or 50% of the full fee for less than 48 hours notice.

Please note that Medicare and most private health insurers do not cover cancelled appointments.
